Once you’ve done that, click the “preserve transparency” icon for the base layer in the Layer’s palette. Next, set the background color to #956456 and the foreground color to #362f2d. Then select the gradient tool, choose the Reflected gradient type and drag from the center of the text to the left (or right) of the canvas.

Now go back to your red fill layer and make it visible. Click on its “preserve transparency” icon in the Layers palette and set your background color to black and the foreground color to red. Then go to Filter - Render - Clouds.

Now go to Filter - Texture - Cracqueler and enter the following settings.

Your text should now look similar to this:
