Then double-click on the layer’s icon in the Layers palette and apply the following styles.

Your card base should now look like this:

Great! Now we’re ready for the photo. Open the photo of your choice and crop it so that it is 20px shorter in length and height as the overall size of the card layer. For instance, my card layer is 450×338px, so my photo should be 430×318px.

Paste the photo into your document and name that layer “photo.”

Next, hit Ctrl+J twice to create two copies of the “photo” layer. In the Layers palette, click the eye icon beside “photo copy 2″ to hide the layer and make “photo copy” your active layer.

Then go to Filter - Artistic - Cutout and apply the following settings.

Hit Ctrl+Shift+U to desaturate the layer and then set the layer mode to “Soft Light.”
