Rescuing A Bad Photo

Finally, we’ll use the Patch Tool to get rid of the mark on the wall behind him by drawing a selection around it and then dragging that selection to the wall above to get our sample.

I still firmly believe that any well-shot photo is going to look a lot better than anything you have to put this much work into to correct, but most photos are salvagable and we’ve gone a long way toward saving this one. If I were going to output this to print, I would likely still make some more adjustments h ere and there, but for the purposes of this tutorial, I think it does well to illustrate just how you can take a bad photo and drag a decent picture out of it.
