Next, double click on the crescent layer and apply the following layer styles.

This should give the shape a slightly inset look, like so.

Now grab the type tool and set your foreground color to black. Choose a strong, sans-serif font like Arial Black and type the letters “USB” on the drive in 30pt font. Select “Italic” for the font style.

Double click on the type layer and apply the following layer style.

Your finished text should now look like this.

Now let’s put an LED indicator in the bottom right corner, so we can see when the drive is in use. Create a new layer and make a small circle in the bottom right corner of the drive with your circular selection tool. Fill it with a dark red (#9d0a0e — afterall, the drive isn’t in use yet). Now right click on the layer styles icon on the type layer and select “Copy layer Style” then right click on the indicator light layer and select “Paste Layer Style.” Your indicator light should now look like t his, dull and unlit.
